Odyssey Systems - founded 1980 by George Colin, Odyssey Reel Systems was formed by a need to quickly and easily remove and replace bulky, cumbersome solar blankets. In his continuing efforts to improve the design and efficiency of reel systems, George was responsible for inventing the needle bearing race system, flip up caster systems and ultra-glide system. The Power Pak, a hydraulically powered motor which automates serial models of Odyssey reels was also inspired by George. Many of his design are patented.
